The Spaghetti Western is a $500 plate dinner and auction to provide funds for The Moyer Foundation and The Mario Batali Foundation. This was the 3rd event that these two have teamed up to support children. There was a live demonstration with Chef Mario Batali, Chef Tim Love, and Chef Emeril Lagasse. They also had several items up for auction that were amazing. (Check out the pictures).

The Spaghetti Western was held at the S07 Love Shack in Fort Worth. This is run by Chef Tim Love. Chef Love has four restaurants is Fort Worth: The Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, The Love Shack S07, The Love Shack Stock Yards, and the White Elephant Saloon. This event was specifically raising money for the Moyer Foundation's Camp Erin. "Camp Erin is the largest national network of bereavement camps for children and teens - with 38 camps in 23 states and Canada. The Foundation is currently leading a campaign to help establish as many as 60 new camps nationwide- at least one camp in every Major League Baseball city." - Moyer Foundation website

The Moyer Foundation was founded in 2000 by Major League pitcher Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen. They work to support the needs of children in physical, emotional, or financial stress. 100% of individual donations benefit children in distress.

"The Mario Batali Foundation was established to feed, protect, educate and empower children, encouraging them to dream big while providing them with the necessary tools to become an active force for change in today's world." - Mario Batali Foundation website. Chef Mario Batali has been working with charities for many years. He may not want to be a largest foundation but it is a wonderful cause.
